I returned from Fort Collins, Colorado on Christmas Day after spending four days with my daughter Britt and her partner, Michael & grandkitty Miki.
The time went quickly, however, the quality of time was exquisite! Britt and I spent time creating and decorating small brooms, eating at HuHot and getting the giggles over the ice cream machine spewing out super soft ice cream. All three of us experienced the Rodizo Grill Brazilian Steakhouse with all you can eat meat and an amazing salad bar! Michael “called” for three wheel chairs to wheel us out we were so full! Our Christmas Eve was at home eating Mississippi Roast Beef, mashed potatoes and apple crumb pie with ice cream, watching Christmas movies. Opening hand made/created presents that we gave to each other.
I was also able to help Britt at her own salon, getting things cleaned, updated, plants replanted and such. She has been sharing a space with another stylist, who is now moving out and on with her own adventures. Britt is now in the same salon, but completely by herself. What freedom for her and I am so proud! Being a woman owned business, making all the decisions and being successful is no small feat, and she’s only 36 years old!
It’s been since 2013 that Britt and I were together for Christmas. Britt and I have worked on our relationship and we have a very healthy and loving time with each other. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and so we “get” each other.
Whatever your Holiday days consisted of, I hope there was time for you to be present for yourself, and to hopefully experience a bit of magic moments.
