Times are uncertain and changing quickly. You may be finding yourself trying to keep up and not slowing down. Your body is not made to keep pushing through everything. Your mind will try to over ride and think that what else is there to do but keep up the expectations. Your body will eventually, let you know, you will need to slow down or stop.
Are you getting “signs” that you need to do something different than what you are currently doing? When you “keep making the donuts” you are disconnected and causing more stress than is necessary in your mind, body and soul. I’m not talking about your job, however, that may be a contributing factor.
Listen, I get it, I was there! When I was the Executive Assistant-CEO, I felt like I had no choice but to push through. I was on high blood pressure medication, two antidepressant/anti-anxiety medication with an extra medication in case the anxiety got too high. I wasn’t sleeping well, my body was breaking down and my skin was breaking out. I was making really good money and I loved what I did. I ignored my body to the extent I ended up having a herniated disc and was therefore on pain medication and a walking stick to get around. I was 46 years old. I realize now I had many options however, at the time, I didn’t believe I did.
Only you can decide when enough is enough. Only you can decide when you are tired of not being in alignment with who you truly are. Only you can decide to step out of the “I have to do this” mentality. There are options, choices and many other ways to be able to adjust to the way life has become.
When is enough, enough?
