Are you aware of your personal power?  Being aware of our own personal power is a reminder that we each have the ability to adapt, impact and influence our surroundings.  In my daily devotion book this resonated with me –

Our minds are marvelous, always moving, growing, absorbing, discarding, storing. And we are in control of the direction our minds take. Thus, it’s by choice, either conscious or unconscious, that we dwell on the negative outcomes rather than positive projections.

Claiming ownership of and responsibility for the direction of our minds and our lives develops a sense of individual power and, in turn, enhances self-esteem. We are what we think. We can think ourselves into becoming better selves.

We are free, at last, from the overwhelming feelings of powerlessness and impotence. The decision to take control of our thoughts and attitudes will be the turning point. When we complement that decision by offering positive direction to our minds, we’ll quickly benefit from the advantageous outcomes.

I will utilize my personal power today.
I will believe in positive outcomes.
I will have hope.

Heidi here. When we play the constant loop of negativity or the thoughts that keep us stuck, we can feel as if we have no choice. Many times, it’s the way we view the lack of choice. Get curious, ask yourself, is there is a different way I can view this situation or thought? What if I choose a positive and empowering word, color or feeling to have when I notice the constant loop of negative thought? By creating a pause you get to make the change you desire. You offer yourself opportunity. You give yourself choices.

Winter Days

I had to run to the store just now, it’s 6:30 pm. I just realized that what I thought was a pimple (yes, at age 62) is actually a cold
