My inner peace got a bit wobbly this past week. Actually, my Anger came out and asked if I wanted more of it. I really had to sit with this, because yes, I did want my Anger to come out and yell and scream. So, I did, I had all the thoughts, and allowed all the feelings to bubble up, sat with it for about 24 hours. Then I reminded myself, is this the space I want to live in? I checked in on my Inner Peace and what I saw was that it was a bit wobbly, not ready to topple, but it wouldn’t take much.
I connected to the Universe/Spirit/God/All That Is and was reminded there is something so much bigger at play here. While I understand some of it, the majority of it is a bit too much for this human brain to completely understand. So, I ask, what am I to do? What do I do with all this chaos that is happening here on earth, especially in the US? I was reminded, the only thing I can control, is my inner peace.
Worry stepped forward, asking if it should join Anger and a variety of other feelings, emotions and beliefs. I contemplated it, and let Worry come in for a bit, then decided I was getting out of my inner peace space and asked it to be less so I can focus on what I can control. Stay in the Present was whispered to me, a gentle reminder.
I checked in with my Inner Peace again, and it has stabilized. No more wobbly. I am grateful. This is a practice that I do throughout the day.
