My nudge to write about this weeks subject has come from a variety of clients wanting to connect with their spirit team. I believe we all have a team of non-physical help, they consist of guides, angels and loved ones that have passed.
I first learned about my spirit team shortly after receiving my first reiki attunement. It was interesting to think that I had a team that was available to help me in my day-to-day life. I did research and also just started “talking” to them. I organically started a relationship of connection.
With their permission, I will share with you my experiences and how I work with my team. Instead of working with all of them (I sense I have a couple of hundred if not more) and learning their names (anyone that knows me knows I’m bad with names) I have what I call a concierge of sorts. It has strong male energy although it is neither male or female and resides a little above my right shoulder. When I want to do something I call upon him to help me make it happen.
He then coordinates with the rest of the spirit team on who can best be of service and then that individual energy/entity/helper/guide (words are limiting) goes to “work”. It is such a comfort to know that I have help and that I am never alone.
Some simple examples of how I intentionally work with my team. When I’ve needed to get someplace at a certain time, I ask for help making the traffic and such work so I can get there on time. Amazingly so it works! When I need to remember something that needs to be returned or brought with me to the office, I get a nudge right before I go to leave, it’s a “knowing” to remember the item. How do I know it’s my team? Because I didn’t have the thought “I need to remember to bring that” it is simply the item comes to mind. I always thank them for helping me.

One example I want to share with you that was amazing because it was so specific. I was with a client and she was wanting to know how to connect with her team. It was late in the day and I needed to go downtown to the Zandbroz store to return an item. It was going to be after five pm and so parking and traffic would be difficult. It costs to park downtown and I didn’t want to have to pay a meter. I asked my team to provide a parking space within the block of Zandbroz and make it so I didn’t have to pay the meter. I wrapped up with the client and headed downtown. I approached the block of where the store is and was looking for the parking space, to my surprise, right in front of the store there was a space AND when I went to the meter there was twenty two minutes left! I laughed, took pics and sent them to my client. What a delight!

I work with my team all the time, asking, inquiring, creating, it’s a dialogue that I enjoy having.
There are hundreds of thousands of ways to work with your team and only you can determine what way you want to do that. Here are a couple of different articles to help you do just that. One is by Rebecca Campbell, 11 Simple Ways to Connect With Your Spirit Guides and the other by Gabby Bernstein, 10 Simple and Beautiful Ways to Connect With Your Spirit Guides.
In session when a client asks to connect with their spirit team I create a space that allows them to do just that. It’s important to me that the person connects directly with their team and not through me. In creating this space it allows the client to sense the presence and tune into their own knowing. We break it down to sensations, male, female or androgynous energy, how to connect and what ways they can work with them. Sometimes there are names, other times it’s not important. This many times is the start of the clients awareness and now it is up to them to ask and nurture a relationship with their team.
Are you aware of your spirit team? Do you work with them? Are there ways you could utilize them more? Do you need to set up reminders to ask? There is a world of possibilities just waiting for you to experience!
