Watching the snow falling and accumulating as I write this, I see beauty as the white flakes float to the ground. While there are many negative or not so lovely things about the snow and winter, there are many positives. You get to choose which way you want to see it.

I can’t help but wonder if this is the earth’s way to get us to slow down. Last week I wrote about creating space to allow what you want more of in your life. Interesting coincidence this week is slowing down the body and mind.

I have invited Robert Marson to be a guest writer. Robert brings a perspective that I find interesting, mind provoking and can conjure up deep emotions. He started writing daily a little over 200 days ago, and many times shares these thoughts with me. He has found amazing growth within himself through these writings. I thought it was time for you to read them also.

It is all good

If I compare days one to another, there will absolutely be a place of misery. One day will either be excellent and the other less so. One, you will feel like you own your thoughts and feelings, and the world. The next you are just not there.

For sanity’s sake, it is best not to become involved in “yesterday was amazing, I had energy and I knew where I stood inside of me.”

Today is a new day.

One separated by darkness, which seems apropos really.

If you are moving ahead in your life from a past that has not been so user-friendly, it is easy to get drawn into that darkness again.

But today, collectively, is a new day.

Once the movement inside of you was ahead, it became a new day.

It will never be as bad as it once was because the light you have allowed in has dissipated that darkness and you can see more.

Nighttime is a reminder of where you have come from. It is no longer a place to set up a tent and plant a tree.

It is now a place where you are just waiting for morning, and, as we all know, morning will always come.

What is Enlightenment

I came across this post from JeffFosterOfficial on Instagram and it really resonated with me. What is enlightenment? It’s falling in love with this ordinariness. It’s seeing the extraordinary –

Winter Days

I had to run to the store just now, it’s 6:30 pm. I just realized that what I thought was a pimple (yes, at age 62) is actually a cold
